Re: Little Suggestion for Uijng
To clear up misconceptions, simply moving the heroes into taverns will not reduce the map size.
The maximum map size allowed to be hosted on LAN or B.net is 8mb, which is where the map is at right now.
The reason why this map is so big is because of the custom hero models and the sound files.
By putting the heroes in a tavern, the hero models is still in the map, and therefore will still take up part of the 8mb, meaning it is impossible to add new heroes without removing old ones.
Before anyone asks why maps such as DotA can have over 100 heroes, it is because those hero models are already built into warcraft, so there is no need for imported custom models.
I'm pretty sure Uijng doesn't want to remove any of the old heroes, but it's the only way to bring fresh content into the game.
Hopefully this will stop people from creating these suggestions from now on. It's kinda getting annoying.
