    If you're using Windows 7/Vista, it's probably because you aren't running them as an admin. Fraps lags you when you're recording and it also lags when you watch the video.
    Try xFire. Very simple too use. Noob-friendly! All you do is press a button or two and it'll record.

    You'd have to make an account on xfire to record or take a screenshot.

    @Walao A
    Thanks for the introducing , but it looks like it only support "Pressing the PrintScreen key" but I need to use it on my Laptop. You should know Laptop don't have that "PrintScreen" key. But Still THanks. Very Happy

    Why does a recording software requires these requirements?
    System Requirements

    * PC running Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 6+
    * 10 MB available hard drive space
    * Desktop resolution of 800 x 600 at 256 colors

    Additional Requirements for Xfire In-Game:

    * DirectX 9.0c or higher
    * Video Driver that supports DirectX 9.0c
    What actually XFire does? Just Asking.
    Very Happy

    I think is girl with wings. silent

    Fraps error = Too laggy
    Hypercam error = its say requires 16bit colour to use(If I'm not mistaken),but when I set the settings to 16bit , My game won't start. No

    Every software needs specific requirements to run that software. Just think of it as running a game. If your computer/laptop does not meet the requirements, then it'll either be very laggy or it won't run at all.

    Didn't you ask for a software which records your gaming screen into a video format?
    Xfire just lets you record your gameplay or whatever you're playing into a video file.

    I'm pretty sure that whatever laptop you have can tun xfire smoothly. Unless it's a really really really old laptop. Even if xfire can't run nothing will happen to the laptop.
    What are your laptop specifics?

    Screen Capturer:

    If you want to picture the screen without pop-ups (silently),

    Simply hold Shift+Hotkey (Example: Shift+prt scrn)
